I don’t know how many times I have heard people say, “I’m lost.” I sincerely think college is the ground for lost youths. It seems like you might have everything figured out before you go to college, but all of a sudden you find yourself in your senior year of college and reconsidering your major. And people are yelling at you “HONEY, IT’S TOO LATE.”
It’s never too late to accomplish your goal. It’s never too late to be a success. It’s never too late to find a new dream. It feels as though we youths are on this invincible timeline to be successful and if you take a different route or hesitate for a second, you’re failing.
It’s okay to be lost. It’s okay to not know who you are and who you want to be. It’s okay if you don’t have a ten-year plan on how to be a CEO. It’s okay.
Take your time figuring out who you are. No one can tell you that. No one can do it for you or certainly speed up the process. Don’t do things to fit in or please anybody. Live and figure things out for you, no matter how long it takes.
Remember you’re still a youth. You’re still learning. You’re still growing.
Who said you had to have it all figured out at this point?
I’m right here with you, Figuring it out.
